Regular Membership Classification
Regular membership shall be limited in number to 400 persons who have passed their 21st birthday. Regular members shall be entitled to vote, hold office, and have unlimited use of the golf course. All regular members also hold an equal right, title, and interest in the property and the assets of the Club.
Application:
To apply for Regular membership with Manito Golf and Country Club the nominee must obtain two signatures of current Regular members in good standing to sponsor the nominee. A completed nomination form, along with the appropriate initiation fee (SEE initiation fee below) must be submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval. Upon approval by the Board, the nominee will become a Regular member if there are regular memberships available, and will be required to remit payment in full for one share of Manito Golf and Country Club stock (SEE stock certificate below). If there is a waiting list for this category, upon approval by the Board, the nominee will be accepted as a Social member with special privileges until a Regular membership becomes available. The stock becomes due and payable immediately upon acceptance as a Regular member.
Initiation Fee Payment:
The total initiation fee for Regular membership is paid in full at the time of the nomination or can be financed over 3 years.
Stock Certificate:
The purchase price for one share of Manito Golf and Country Club stock is due upon approval of membership. The stock certificate is kept on file in the Club office and entitles the holder the right to vote and hold office, and the privilege of unlimited use of the golf course, clubhouse, and swimming pool of Manito Golf and Country Club. The stock certificate is non-transferable according to Bylaw Article IV, Section 1, Sub-section C.
Minimum Membership Deposit:
A set minimum payment must accompany the nomination form and is non-refundable. Upon approval for membership this amount will be applied to the purchase of stock.
Membership Dues:
Membership dues are billed on a monthly basis. The dues are subject to change at the Board of Trustees discretion as noted in the By-Laws.
Assessments:
All stock holding members may be subject to monetary assessments when deemed necessary for the greater good of the Club. All assessments are approved as outlined in Article XIX of the Manito Golf & Country Club By-Laws.
