anito Golf & Country Club was founded in 1917 at Hart Field by a small group of dedicated golf enthusiasts. The Club permanently moved to its current location in 1922. Today, its 400 golfing members and 200 other members continue to enjoy a beautiful course, as well as a modern club house, various dining options, spacious swimming pool with bath house and a lively calendar of year-round social events.

The new Manito Clubhouse was built in 1986 and contains a spacious dining room and comfortable lounges which can accommodate receptions and special occasions of all types and sizes. Meeting rooms are also available to accommodate our members business needs. Seasonal activities include the Men and Women Member Guest Invitationals, Family and Members Christmas parties, the Members Christmas Ball, New Year Eve Celebration and Valentine Day Dinner along with Easter and Mother Day brunches, to name a few.

A seasonal snack bar provides quick snacks, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs and beverages. Our on the course lunch service, lunch by the Lake provides a special menu for our golfers, delivered on the course, as you continue play. A full range of beverages are provided, on the course, by our full time beverage cart service.

Among the other facilities at Manito are spacious Men and Women locker rooms and an exercise room containing free weights, weight machines and stationary bicycles.

Membership amenities also include shoe shine services and group and private swim lessons to people of all ages and abilities.

The golf course is a Par 71, 18-hole championship course, and was home of the 1944 PGA championship. The Pro Shop offers cart rental, private or group golf lessons, clinics, a highly rated Junior program, driving range, lighted putting green, club care and tournament play. Golf equipment, club fitting and the latest in golfing fashion are also available at the Pro Shop.
